Avengers: Savage Hulk

With the release of the Avengers this week, I thought why not build some Savage Worlds versions of the Avengers themselves? I’ll be using the Savage Worlds Explorers edition, and the Super Powers Companion previously reviewed on the site if you wan’t to follow along.

I’ll be going off of the movie versions of these characters, because I’m more familiar with them. I have read multiple comics with each of the avengers, but to keep things simple we’ll stick with the movie versions. There not that different anyway.

Main Stats: Remember these are PRE-superpowers stats.

Hulk material? We’ll have to wait and see.

        Agility: d6
        Smarts: d8
        Spirit: d6
       Strength: d6
       Vigor: d6

Skills(I’m only writing down trained skills):

hulk smash!

Climbing: d8
Fighting:
d12
Investigation:
d6
Intimidation:
d6
Taunt:

Throwing:
d10

Explanation: He’s Hulk. Hulk is Hulk.

Derived Stats:

Pace: 6

Toughness: 5(10 hulked)
Charisma: -2(from outsider)

sf

Hindrances

Outsider (Minor):  He’s a fugitive, doesn’t really seem to be a problem for the Avengers though.
Gimmick(Major): Dude has to “hulk out” to get his superpowers.

Edges:

Super Powers
2 x Power points: That’s +10 points to buy super powers

Gear:

Stretchy Purple Pants- like does he have anything else?

Super Powers:

Super Strength: +6 to Strength, making it a d12+2.
Super Agility: Brings his Agility to a d12+1
Super Vigor: Brings his Vigor up to a d12+2
Leaping: Let’s him jump all around, and do extra damage. Win win.

The end… I’m keeping all the Avengers at 20 experience to keep them all at the same power level, while giving them some punch. Hulk’s pretty strong. Seems like his only real weakness is in when he’s not hulked, which is accurate. I would have liked to have given him some health regen, but I couldn’t with the 20 point experience cap. Still that huge Vigor score should cover it.
